Description

This Big Mac Casserole brings the flavors of the iconic burger into an easy baked dish with noodles, creamy sauce, and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 diced onion

1/2 cup Big Mac sauce (see below)

1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

4 cups cooked egg noodles

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Sprinkle of sesame seeds (optional)

For the Big Mac Sauce:

1 cup mayo

2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, then drain excess fat.

2. Add the diced onion and cook until softened.

3. In a separate bowl, mix mayo, relish, mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to make the Big Mac sauce.

4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef and onion, Big Mac sauce, cream of mushroom soup, milk, cooked noodles, and 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese.

5. Mix thoroughly and transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

6. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and sprinkle sesame seeds on top, if using.

7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.

8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can make this casserole ahead of time and refrigerate before baking. Add 10 extra minutes to the bake time if cold.

Feel free to swap in ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.

Top with shredded lettuce, diced pickles, or tomatoes after baking for an authentic burger experience.

This dish freezes well—wrap tightly and freeze for up to 2 months.
